We know we haven't posted anything here for a long time, and it wasn't because of lack of excitement... quite the opposite, actually. But this month it was a bit easier and we managed to get pictures to capture these lovely events!
Well, as you might have read on the headline, it was Jessie's birthday and she wanted to celebrate with A LOT of food and booze, so that's exactly what we did. (Before I continue this tale, I will inform you that while we lived together we used to have these sister bonding bathroom sessions we called "happy hours", due to the drinks we usually brought along. The reason why it was in the bathroom, was because we were both underage and the only place we didn't run the risk of being caught or having to be in a hurry was in the bathroom and late at night, and that's what Jessy wanted to do.... except for the bathroom part)We had fun remembering the times we had to sneak around whenever we wanted to drink, not to mention that we hadn't seen each other for a long time so it was really funny. Here are some pics of what it looked like. We only took pictures at the beginning because as the night went progressing our motor skills took a turn for the worst.

And then came Father's Day..... despite the hangover and the fact that we were exhausted, we had to go have some "daddy time". And where did we go? We went to a restaurant in the country named O Velhão. It was pretty funny to get the entire family together and we took over almost half the restaurant. The food was AMAZING and there was free cachaça (which was fabulous btw). So all in all the weekend was pretty great and alcoholic. Here are a couple of pics of what the place looked like. Enjoy!

Paraty

Our school made an excursion to Paraty, so we could enjoy the holiday to the full. Unfortunately, we both couldn't go, so Jess made the effort of staying home so that I(Mari) could go.(so sweet!!). Well, the trip was insane!! When the bus got there it was raining like crazy, and we were supposed to build our tents, which we did and everyone ended up drenched! Then we went for a boat ride which I missed, as I was sleeping and forgot about the time.. ops! But I managed to go on a kayac and it was awesome and a great workout!! The next day, it didnt rain so we went to the watefall and froze our bones, but it was fun, when we got back to the campsite we went drinking and I don't really remember what happened after only that I woke up with a terrible hangover the next morning.But we had lots of fun, I didnt manage to get a tan because it rained most days, but we went to the beach anyways we slid down waterfalls, got bitten by mosquitoes and other types of bugs which I have no idea as to how they are called, went through hangovers, I even got to dance on a table........ it was totally awesome!!

Alrighty, we decided to make a list of things we've never tried out and are either cultural or "must do's". So we decided to cross the first object of our list which was........ to try out a Hot-dog sandwich!! Not just any Hot-dog, it was the biggest one we had ever seen and we had a hard time eating it!! Well, during Feb, our biggest event was our mom and sister's birthday which was great..... our brothers came over and we managed to socialize a little ..... something we don`t do often.... but we manage to make the most of it!!

Well, lets start with new years since its usually the biggest event. New years was rather interesting... it was both of us alone in a house away from everyone sleeping away when out of the blue, we get company! Emer decides to drop by and spend new years with us.(yay!) We weren't able to take any pics because, unfortunately, we forgot to bring a cam with us. But we'll tell you the story anyways.
Well, Emer decides to drop by and says hes got a full bottle of Smirnoff for us to share and mentions about bringing more people over, we weren't entirely thrilled about having to share 1 bottle of vodka between more than us three, but it the other people which were going to join us had a last minute engagement and it ended up being just us three..... our drinking began very light...just a few caipis and soon we were out of lemon... great... then Emer(who also became the barman) decided to try and make Martinis.....

Well, to begin with, we didn't have any Gyn, but he said wine would do. So we found some wine lying around which was terrible, mind you, and he decided to pour some olive water on it and an olive, which made the drink extremely salty.... but we drank it anyways. Waste not, want not.
By then, we'd run out of vodka, so we went to a gas station and purchased another bottle. Once we got back, Emer's barman self took over again and he decided to make.... wait for it.... Bloody Mary's!!

Well, to say the least, it wasn`t the best idea we had! After those, we simply stuck to shots. As to the rest of the night, well, it sort of went by in a blur until 6am.......when Jessica decided she was going to Curitiba. We had all sort of drifted asleep, when Jessica jumps up ad says "Guys I`m going to Curitiba now!".... we thought she was kidding..... but after she called the home and they confirmed that she could stay there, we didn't really have a choice but to help her pack her bags and take her to the station (all which we did with throbbing heads).... once I(Mari) got back home, it was time for yoga! The year had already started!!

C-mas

ALright, well Christmas eve was rather interesting and so was Christmas day... for instance, no one was home on C-mas Eve bcuz some got invited by friends and eventually, even we were apart... (which is usually rather impossible!). Now c-mas day, we were all scurrying around trying to get everything ready for c-mas dinner and no one wanting to really do anything due to a hangover from the night b4 but we managed to make it through the day and while everyone ate the fruits of our hard work....... well, the pictures say it all. Have a look!!

Well, while all the teachers are at the Educators Seminar, the ones that aren't are having a great time with the kids!! Oh yay! Yesterday the parents took the kids to an art expo. Unfortunately, only one of us managed to go because the other one is at the Seminar with 82 women and only 6 guys of which only 2 are single! (good luck on that one, Jessy!!)I'm sure she's having plenty of sun and getting a tan, which we'll be posting pics of asap. But yeah, today was a great day with the kids, here are some pics....

We went to get our ID renewed which was a pretty interesting experience. We were stuck in line for hours in a room crowded with people, and once we finally make it there, we discover that the pics we took are useless because of the background. So, off we go again to the photo booth which was rather quick. And to our great joy, we had to go through the line all over again!

While one of us was having a blast flirting( you probably know who that is) the other one was worried about getting home on time. But in the end we managed to finish everything on time and even managed to take a few pics to post here! :D
